Journey of DiefsReef 120 Peninsula

Picture of the RS MaxE 170 cube. All corals and fish look great cept my Elegance (Elle). She's looking great color wise but she stays cupped up which is kinda courious to me. She opens up more then whats seen here but still, compared to when I first got her she was flowing all over and way extended.

A lot happening around here with these tanks.
Last week the 120 ato had issues and caused a temp issue because the inkbird temp probes got exposed.
Sunday night I did a water change on my cube tank and the temp dropped below 76 which was odd because it was only a 15 gal change in 70gal total water volume with just a few deg dif in the new water.
Soo since it was taking so long to recover I just nudged the heaters a bit and over night it rose to 82 deg
Alarms going off at 1 am which always stinks on a Monday morning.
The water change also significantly dropped all my parameters in the cube which I found odd because I used the same water for the change in my 120 and it didn't change much at all.
Brought dkh and cal back up and slowly raising mag since it wants 800ml to get back to 1300.

Now elegance and lobo are pissed but they'll get over it :p

Corals are still a little miffed after the elements fluctuation issues but coming around.
I was having some cloudiness in my 120 and decided to try some Vibrant. I dossed on the low side of the recommended amount and still my corals all got really upset.
Decided I'm leaving everything alone for a bit so they can all just calm the heck down
I did add some carbon in a bag to both tank sumps and after only 2 days the water is already looking much cleaner.

Sorry for the blues, some day when I grow up I'll get a better phone and some filters :p

Well I typed out a whole update with twenty seven eight-by-ten color glossy pictures with circles and arrows and a paragraph on the back of each one and proceeded to add those twenty seven eight-by-ten color glossy pictures with circles and arrows and a paragraph on the back of each one to this post when all of a sudden.... The whole thing reset and I lost everything.

So now you get a few grainy pictures from my phone with no paragraph on the back and bad lighting :p but the water is much clearer after adding the carbon bags!

Still in the ugly growing up stages..
Coral is the cube are coming back nicely.

The 120 not so much.
The plate is bleached out but still eating when feed.
The hammer is starting to come out a little.

Been some time since I updated this thread so since I added a few more fish today I figured a few pics of my 120 would be nice..
I call these pics the good, the bad and the ugly.. Colors are not exactly right but its close to what we see.

Ordered a copperband butterfly today since the aptasia has gotten so out of hand in my cube. I pulled every coral out of the cube with the exception of two sets of mushrooms which will just have to try and survive..

Ordered 8 Peppermint shrimp and a few Emerald crabs which came in today with a few more cleaners for the 120. All from Dr. Reefs Quarantined Fish
Emerald Crab
Peppermint Shrimp
Court Jester Goby (Rainfordi) - Quarantined (this little guy is not happy yet and just sitting in bottom of tank getting blown around so I had to move him to the frag tank downstairs to watch him for a bit)
Sleeper Banded Goby - Quarantined
One Spot Foxface - Quarantined

Will need to get a few better pictures later when i can clean the glass :) Banded Goby is already starting to cover the brain coral :(
