There are selling rules in two places, some in
"PLEASE READ: ARC Forum Rules"
and some in the sticky thread at the top of selling threads "PLEASE READ PRIOR TO POSTING: Rules for Trading & Selling Forums". I suggest those in the Forum Rules be included in the sticky thread so they are all together. It wouldn't hurt to suggest including price and location in the text body of the post as well as in the required fields as those fields arent visible to Tapatalk users.. I believe many are unaware of the ones in the Forum Rules. Also I think all rules should be enforced, if there are any that are not going to be enforced they should be changed.

Rules for Trading & Selling Forums:
In order to maintain a professional, family orientated environment for our community the following policies must be followed at all times. Failure to comply with these rules may result in a suspension or ban as decided by the Board of Directors.
You must be a registered (and completed 25 meaningful posts - Sales forum posts do not count) or a supporting (paid) member of ARC in order to post anything for sale or trade. Purchasing in the ARC Marketplace is a benefit to all Supporting members, regardless of their post count. No commercial sales are allowed unless you are an approved Sponsor of the Atlanta Reef club. You must post a price and location for each item up for sale, in the field provided. It is also suggested to post the price and location in the body of the text, as these fields are not visible to Tapatalk users. When possible, please list multiple items in one post and list the highest priced item in the required field. All transactions are the responsibility of the two parties involved in the sale and the Board of Directors will not intervene. However, sellers must conduct themselves in an ethical matter and maybe sanctioned or banned if multiple complaints arise from transactions. Unless you know the seller you should always protect yourself by paying through PayPal via goods and services. Sales of any type of firearms or their accessories are strictly forbidden. No unnecessary comments are allowed in sales threads. No reselling or selling on the behalf of others is permitted. Bumping is allowed one time per week.

We are a family oriented community. As such, please keep it clean and professional.

• Participation in the ARC's Marketplace (buying, selling, or trading) is restricted to members aged 18 years or older..

• Do not post any For Sale (FS) or Want to Buy (WTB) thread outside the designated forums.

• Threads which appear to be commercial will be removed, unless in the appropriate forums by accounts with the required permissions, as determined and defined in the Bylaws.

• If a member wishes to list multiple items for sale at one time, these should be consolidated into one thread. If multiple threads are created in close proximity, a member may be asked by the staff to combine them, or the staff may consolidate the posts.

• Requests for free or donated items must be reasonable. Requests for high dollar equipment or corals must be submitted to a moderator or site administrator to determine if it is appropriate as our organization also offers donations to schools, orphanages, etc.

• Items listed for sale must be owned by the seller and currently in the seller's possession.

• Posting to bump a thread is permitted once per week.

• Staff may ask at any time for the seller to show proof of ownership.

• Additional selling/buying rules may apply; consult the sticky threads in the sales forums.

• Posts may be removed by our staff at any time for any reason.
• All Marketplace Sales threads must include an asking price.

• The asking price, including for OBO posts, must be a legitimate, realistic, and acceptable price point, and not a simple placeholder (e.g. $1 or $1,000 may be unacceptable unless those are reasonable prices for the items being sold).

• All WTB threads must include an intent to purchase or trade.

@Adam

Hmm, not sure what you mean about making "all posts" the same. I see no changes in the several places where selling rules are listed. In the top thread of both Drygoods for sale and Livestock for sale, titled "PLEASE READ PRIOR TO POSTING: Rules for Trading & Selling Forums" and in the "PLEASE READ: ARC Forum Rules" which I guess is called a banner or sticky at the top of the forums page.

Hey Steve, Unless the three areas you mentioned are only changed on my computer, each one of the areas, now read the same. The rules are effectively the same in each place. In each area under the sticky "PLEASE READ PRIOR TO POSTING." They should all read like this:

Registered Members are now allowed to post in these forums. Minimum requirements are 25 meaningful posts prior to your first post. Existing Registered members that have already met the minimum meaningful post requirement are good to go and can start posting immediately. Sales forum Posts do not count toward the 25 minimum meaningful post requirement for registered members.

The rules below are posted in both Dry Goods & Livestock
and Non-Fish Related forums.

I see that in three areas:
Drygoods for Sale
Livestock for Sale
Drygoods/Livestock for Trade

These are not nearly all the selling rules, there are many more in the "PLEASE READ: ARC Forum Rules" thread at the top of the forums page shown here:

These are included in there:

Okay. Now I see what you're talking about. I'll get back on it. Thank you!

@Adam
Trying to sell Current light bar. Unable to post? Suggestions?

I have read and I understand the rules
Might want to reread this one
"Non-Supporting members must have a minimum of 25 meaningful posts (e.g. comments and bids in sale/auction threads do not count) prior to posting their own sales or auctions in the Marketplace."

I would like to add that people quit commenting sold on their sold items bumping them up. No point in a sold item being bumped up above other items still for sale, simply update the thread title to sold. A couple other rule changes I think need to be managed would be that if pics need to be added, items in sale ad need to be marked off or changes in price need to be edited in main sale ad, not used as an excuse to bump before it’s time to. That is all. Thanks.
