Chapter 2: 50g Lowboy LPS

Is that water resistant? Just thinking longevity of the wood. You may also want to paint under the tank itself. It looked like it was still raw wood.

Yeah i was going to say that $17 for a gallon of paint is not expensive but for a pint....yup. And I bought some of that for my daughters' room but in black and made part of a wall a chalk board.

Acrylic cut. Didn’t explode.
Let’s see if we can get this sucker welded and silicones in this weekend...

This is a huge pile of acrylic dust. Especially considering the fact that I am still wearing half of it

Where do you find fittings to fit these return nozzles? I stopped by Lowe’s and none of the pvc or cpvc fittings worked. The guy told me to try Petsmart and they didn’t have any plumbing fittings at all.

I plan to go bare bottoms on the frag tank but will add a 2” lip on the opposite side for sand. Most of the wrasses I like are the sand sleeping kind. While I’ve read that they will sleep in caves in the absence of sand....I’d feel like a complete butthole.

Moved the tank to the kitchen to silicone. Surprisingly the tape was a GD nightmare...I would’ve been better off just not taping it off.
Anyhow, everything is siliconed in place and soon...water. And then fish.
