Bills Crystal Dynamic Aquarium 225 gal tank upgrade

2022, Jan 1st. Tank is coming along. Starting to add SPS corals. They look good, but you can't see them in the photos as they are just frags.

Still having an issue keeping the back wall clean of coraline algae...UGH!!!

Everyone thinks because I have a Apex to GHL conversion thread on R2R, that I hate and have a vendetta against Apex...WELL...I don't.

I have been having some major issues with my Apex as of the past few days. My EB832's, all 3 of them, have been having major issues with some things. I just had a on the phone meeting with them, and, though it may not be what I want to hear, it was a honestly true answer and response to my issues. In all likelihood, I will have to send in 2 of my EB832's, not the answer I wanted to hear, BUT, after watching them go thru my computer and seeing what they did and watching them interact with my Apex, I agree with Neptune on the decision. I am just a little bit short of funds currently to do a swap of 2 EB832's, thus me having to move everything over to my GHL. If I do that then I am not sure if I care to move certain things back to my Apex. Talk about doing things over again trying to see a different result. I think their is a definition for that...LOL!!!

I simply try to help other reefers out that do not have the funds, like I do in reality, to change from to the other in making the best decision for themselves. ;)

I am simply saying that I had a 1st rate customer experience with them, and never had a bad one to be honest.

I went grocery shopping this morning as I was amazed at how stripped the stores were...SERIOUSLY!!!

I always find it funny how Georgians panic and buy everything when their is a possibility of snow and mixed weather...LOL!!!

Lots of Georgians have been through ice storms with ice lasting several days. They know that driving on ice is possible, but not safe.

There was a shortage before we even were told about the snowmageddon or icepocolypse 2022. The supply chains and manufacturers are crippled by a combination of the pandemic, shipping issues, and mass shortage of employees. So, we have been noticing shortages for weeks now. Combine that with the typical Georgia response to cold weather conditions and known lack of infrastructure to plow and salt the roads, perfect storm of emptier than usual shelves…. They say the supply chain should recover in a few more months, so at least there is room for improvement.

I am a Miami, FL born member. I never even seen snow until 97' when I had 3" on my doorstep of my 1st house I bought. That was in 97' and I since seen Georgians strip grocery markets. More importantly they seem to buy items that have a short shelf life span. You never have an issue buying health foods and such...HMMM!!! It is always milk and ICE CREAM.

Their was NO shortage before Snowmagageddon and Icepocolyppse, which is not 2022, we all were just lazy in preparing for such events.

Trust me, I REMEMBER ICEPOCOLYPPSE, I was sent down to La Grange and going down there on that very day I watched it rolling in and I seen the change on the highways.

I’m from Florida as well, it starts sprinkling and all the Georgians pull over into the ditch lol

Not sure if its gonna snow enough for me to go out and create Snow Angels...LOL!!!
We've been playing outside all morning with the dog (his first snow) and having a blast watching him. Just like a little kid :)
I just took the truck for a run around to see if i could play some. Found a spot with no tracks, 2 wheel drive it just slips around. Auto 4 its like a tank. Love it!

For those that have had platys come back from the dead, or similar, Should I add a cover to the plate with the babies? Meaning something like a cut off top of a 2-liter bottle with drilled holes or something?

They will eventually detach, and, I do not want them to go into the overflow.

Mine are just growing in place where the original lived with no issues. Occasionally, one will detach and I will relocate. But there is not a lot of flow where mine are located.
