Those of you who know me know that I am not afraid to blast a sponsor with both barrels when I have a negative experience with them.

Conversely, I like to think I heap praise on those that do an outstanding job.

Today I pulled the MRC 1 off of Linda's tank as part of the breakdown required to put the 180 together.

I could tell that water had been leaking inside the stand and knew it was coming from the skimmer.

I assumed that one of the connections that I had made was not good.

Today, after further inspection I realized that the fitting in the front of the skimmer box was in fact leaking between the box and the fitting.

I called MRC they told me to bring it to them so I hopped in the truck and made the hour drive.

They took the skimmer and in 5 minutes had the old fitting out and a brand new bulkhead installed.

Besides fixing the leak this new bulkhead would allow me to upgrade from the 1-1/4 gate to a bigger 1-1/2 so I bought one and they installed it all for me no muss no fuss..

I also bought one of their spiffy silencers!

Once they had it all back together they put it through the leak test and the skimmer worked like new!

They showed me a few cool things they had going on in the shop and patiently answered the barrage of questions that kept flying out of my mouth.

The drive was long but the service and the price I paid for the repair were well worth me dragging my butt out of the house.

To all the staff @ MRC Job well done!

Very nice people there. I dropped off my kalk reactor that I thought maybe had a problem and the tested it for me to confirm the problem... no questions asked.

I was shoulder deep cleaning a pair of 400s after Tim and I put a 450 in a wall this morning. Sorry I missed you there and I'm glad we could help you out.

Here's what our morning looked like:

Good to know that they're still working when I leave the office. :)

I'm sure you got a chance to see our new "nano" skimmer. What did you think? :D

I must have missed the nano skimmer :D

It was probably hidden behind that clear acrylic SEWER TUBE!

Raj, post a picture sometime! Loren said he could actually fit inside that thing.

This I gotta see!!
