In the beginning sump area painted with plastidip to protect from moisture
Cabinet section built on left side to house Apex and other electronics. Outside painted with dark gray chalk paint and waxed
Supply plumbing in place with sapphire 34 sump and Apex cor 20 pump.
Plumbing complete including check valves in supply lines to prevent siphoning back to sump and shut off valves in supply and return to help when servicing sump etc.
Building out the Apex system
The Aquascape 124 lbs of rock
Added in the matching Sapphire 10 Gallon ATO reservoir
80 Lbs special grade sand and 20 Gallons of water added to the display now I have to hurry up and wait for the Rodi system to pump out some more.
Nice system! Hard to tell from just the front facing picture but it looks like the rock structure could use more width? Vs vertical height

I had my first reef tank setup with similar this aqua scape design. On a 65G (36x18x24). One thing you will have issue is with proper flow for the whole tank. I remember removing little by little from top down because the flow issues. Now days, lesser rock is more preferable since filtration system is way better than in the past using much of live rocks to succeed. Anyways, good luck to your build!!! Now to to the waiting.

Well, as a temporary measure I happened to get 3 hydra 26 lights used. If I can get them all to work together correctly. I have mounted them in the canopy as of last night after I got 1 100% functional. The other two will work when I set them up individually (not all three in the app at the same time). I have submitted a support ticket with AI to see if I can get help resolving the issue. I really am interested in a pair of Neptune Sky to put in there as a final solution.
