Small school of convict tangs?

I’m considering ordering 5-7 small convict tangs. They would go in my 60g frag tank for now to monitor and grow before adding to the display. Has anyone ever tried this?

I wanted to…but I ended up only buying 1 at the LFS. I read a lot of stuff about them not eating so I got worried but mine eats like a pig.

That’s one of my worries. But I’ve read that if you can keep them fed on nori to keep them fat at first, they would be fine. Live aquaria has a good sale, and by the time they’re big enough to go in the display, the tank will be plenty big enough

Is there a reputation that they don’t? Seems like they at least have a 7 day guarantee

I think LA are fine. Shipping fish by plane is a tricky thing.

No reason a group wouldnt do well. That's how they are naturally. I have one and it's an eating machine.

Live Aquaria fish shipping has been hit or miss the last couple of years. It's not the LA of old.
