They hide a lot. Look with a flashlight when the lights are off.

Mine was great at hiding behind my rock work and didnt wanna come out unless it was pitch black in the room and i had to put food in the water then for him to make sure he was eating. After a month he was coming out more and had a great personality.

i’ve been wanting to get one of these for some time now. I’ve also heard they sometimes eat vermetid snails which is a plus.
