New setup, but not a new member. This is still a work in progress, but I figured I would post a few pictures. I built the stand by hand using Dustin's plans. I am in the process now of buying equipment and I can't wait to get it finished. Any questions--feel free to ask.

Wow very nice job. Can you elaborate more on the building of the stand?

The stand is modeled after a fellow member on here Dustin. I forget his screen name but he built the plans I just followed them. It started out as 6 sheets of 3/4 birch plywood. After building and sanding I primed it. For a top coat I went with oil base satin finish from SW. The total stand and canopy is about 7.5' tall.

The equipment list is a work in progress. I have the ocean revive t247 lights currently but I have never used led lights before. I just purchased a few more parts. I have an aqueon proflex model 4 sump that I'm plumbing up this week.

man I hope the DT ends up looking as good as the cabinet work, it would be a sweet looking setup when complete.
very nice job!

I didn't my wife found them on ebay for it think 10 or 12 bucks. They are extremely detailed and some of the best I have ever seen.

Another quick update. I have been purchasing some equipment from fellow reefers over the last week. I got an aqueon proflex model 4 sump, 2 tunze 6095 Powerheads and an apex controller. Now all I need is a heater and return pump. I am planing to add water and rock before the new year.

Well I finally found time to do an update. I changed positions within my company so I had to put the tank on hold for a few months. I finally got the tank setup with rock and sand from Genesis (Brandon). Thanks for the awesome deal. I spent about 2 days trying to figure out an apex and programming but I think I have the hang of it. I will take sump pictures later tonight once I get the skimmer in place.

The stand was around $900 to build. That is assuming you have the tools already. You might could make it cheaper but I used oil base satin paint and a few upgraded materials.

To my knowledge he never posted them directly to any forum. I had to purchase them off ebay. And he mailed them to me the same day.
