Got a 29 gallon biocube. Salinity is 1.028 need to get to 1.023.. whats the safest way to do that?

I think most reefer keeps salinity btw 1.025-1.027 Specific gravity or 33-35ppt salinity~

I don’t know how long your tank has been at 1.028 but I will bring it down slowly. Above mentioned method sounds pretty good~

When I'm looking to lower salinity I'll fill up my ATO and remove cups of pints of water throughout the course of the day. This is super slow going on a large frag system but it's worked for me. Typically two pints at a time for an 85g system. Slow and steady. It can be done quicker though if needed. I do everything slow not because I'm patient and methodical; mostly because I'm lazy!

Side note: before I make any salinity changes I calibrate what I'm using to measure salinity in case something is out of whack.
