New to ARC… used to be a member about a decade ago but decided to start a new profile.

Ive had several tanks in the past but eventually ran out of time for maintenance and the hobby was forced to fall to the wayside. When I got the itch to get another tank I new I wanted to build one that would have low maintenance requirements and be free from the complications of all the latest gadgets and doodads.

I settled on the Waterbox Peninsula Mini 15 with an AI Prime 16HD and a Sicce 1.0 return. That’s my whole setup. No skimmer, no ATO. I clean the glass and perform a 4-5 gal water change every Sunday, and outside of daily top-offs, I let the tank do it's thing and I don’t touch it. I rarely ever check water parameters (I'm a firm believer that a lot of people get hung up on chasing numbers and never provide a stable tank). It has been running for roughly 4 months now, I've been getting good coral growth and haven't had any of my CUC die (aside from my pistol shrimp killing a couple). No fish at the moment but will probably be choosing something soon.

Let me know what you think

My ATO, is easily, my favorite piece of equipment. Don't think I would have been able to last in this hobby without it. Just thinking about the days when I had to manual top off, gives me a headache.

I have a small dot in permanent marker on one side of my tank and that’s where I keep the water level set. It only takes me 10seconds when I get home from work to top it off… I’m sure in the future I’ll upgrade tank size and I’ll be getting more into all the extra tech with it.

I haven't been on here in a while, just wanted to upload some pictures of how the tank is filling in.
