Board of Directors Meeting

Bucket Shop Cafe. 3475 Lenox Rd NE, Atlanta, GA 30326 at 7pm
Board Members Present: Jin O, Dave Ball, Justin Cook, Adam Nitschke, Nathan Wilder, Doug Lockett

Contract review: Item 1.1 remains in place. Dave raised a concern about how we purchase gift cards. We agreed that we can adjust the verbiage in this item.
Item 1.2: Allow sponsors to do direct mailings to members. There are over 4000 registered members currently with a supporting membership of 540. This will potentially enhance sponsor participation. We won’t provide our email list to sponsors. They will provide their circulars to us to be sent out.
Items 1.3 thru 1.6 remain the same. \
Item 2 Sponsor Obligations: Jin raised the question of how do we handle sponsors who offer our members pricing that may or may not be at a discount? It was decided that whatever price the sponsor provided to members; they should expect a 10% discount. Members should be encouraged to always ask for the discount. We agreed to raise the sponsor gift card match from 20% to 25%. Most sponsors have been queried and agree.
The following members will make contact with the following sponsors to make them aware of sponsorship responsibilities: Dave has Premier, Ben has Creation, Justin has Nemo and stone mountain, Adam, Nemo and Southern, Sean has Classic City, Nate has Aquarium Optimum, Premier and The Fish Store, Jin has Rit. Doug has Reef Shack.
Item 2.2 Online sponsors is tabled except for having the sponsors donate a $100 gift card for the holiday party and the yearly Expo. The persons named above will check with their assigned sponsors to ensure they agree.
Item 6.3 is changed from a 10-day, prior notice to a 30-day prior notice.
Items 3-8 are merely legal terms of the agreement.
The meeting was adjourned at approximately 9:00 PM.
