Diving in Sarasota

I may be going to the Sarasota area this summer. I have done a bit of reseach about diving there. Looks like there are some artificial reefs and maybe some limestone walls. Does anyone have an experience with any local diving in the Sarasota, Fl. area?

I know not to expect much there. I am just looking to get my fins wet.

They usually have places to dive near whereever you happen to be. I've never dived near Sara, but I would think there has to be some good spots.
