*** The new designed stands are not shipping yet. I will have them in-stock the minute the become available. The new systems fit perfectly on the existing bio-cube stands as the "foot print" on the systems is the same. ***

2" taller, hinged top, 3 channel lighting, sunrise and moonrise...those are some nice upgrades from the prior biocube.

Are the new led hoods available separately?

Yes they will be! That is one of the best parts about this upgrade. These new hoods directly mount to the old systems. So no more DIY, retro fitting, cutting up old hoods, etc. The hoods probably won't be available for another month or 2.

now thats a smart design and marketing move.
so the 32 and 29 have the same physical dimension?

I'm trying to confirm if the height is the exact same. I guess the new narrow hood could of added enough extra space to extend the glass to keep the same dimensions.

Also there was some confusion on the MAP pricing of the 16 gallon unit...

BioCube LED 32 = $399.99
BioCube LED 16 = $299.99

Sorry about that guys.

If my math is correct, using the dimensions on the Coralife site, the new Biocube 32 (20.25x21.875x21.5) has less volume than the old Biocube 29 (22.375x24.375x20.625) - interesting advertising.

"2” taller tank increases sizes to 16 & 32," but as we nano folks know, names don't necessarily translate into gallons.........still, glad I bought the new one.

Maybe they went the Redsea route and is giving full system volume now (including sump.) instead of the just the display volume. I will say that the glass visually looks taller on the new system.
