BoD Meeting Minutes 8/24/15
Start Time: 6:00pm
Location: Twisted Taco - Alpheretta
Attendees: Richard Nelson(rdnelson99-President), Jason Rader (RedStang-Vice President), Jeffory Morris (porpoiseaquatics- Treasurer), Dave Ball (Dball711-Secretary), Holley & Hal Barrett (Raz0945-Membership Coordinators), Nathan Wilder (Wildernet – Super Moderator)
Agenda
I. Discussion concerning proposed changes to the Constitution
A. Review the proposed Amendment to be posted by Rich.
-Rich moved to move forward with the proposed changes, Jeff Seconded the motion and vote was unanimous with 4 votes in favor.
B. Rich to post up a poll to measure club member support.
C. Any action to be solidified and communicated by the BoD at the next Bod Meeting.
II. CRF Donation
A. After a discussion of our practice of an annual donation is was decided that we should allot $5000 as our charitable donation to CRF.
-Rich moved to make CRF (Coral Restoration Foundation) the recipient of a $5000 Donation from the ARC, Jeff Seconded the motion and vote was unanimous with 4 votes in favor.
B. It was agreed to set up a weekend that Club volunteers led by Jeff & Jason could go down to volunteer and help CRF with dive efforts and present our donation in person 10/16 – 10/18.
-Rich to post a thread with the planned volunteer trip to gage interest, travel and housing expensed will not be covered by the club.
III. Future meetings:
A. September – We have a topic and potential location in the works. There will be a formal announcement in the Club announcement forum once we have things firmed up.
B. Oct –the topic and a potential frag swap are on the radar most likely to be held at Steve Shindell's office complex.
IV. Saltwater U
A. Saltwater U is officially on hold for now.
