My New Red Sea MAX 130D
Let me start off and tell you a little about me. My name is Matt and I am located in Gainesville , Ga and have been reefing ( is that even a word ? ) for about a year now. I started off with a Biocube 29 gallon which I heavily modded. I had some decent luck with the Biocube but I didn't like the look of the tank even from the begging. I have always wanted a Red Sea Max but had never had the money to purchase one. Well I was on Craigslist the other night and found a Red Sea Max at a killer price. Needless to say, I jumped on the tank. Being my Birthday is in a couple of weeks my wife told me she would buy it for my birthday price. I was ecstatic to finally get the tank of my dreams. So here we are on Day 1 of me getting the tank set up and the aquascaping the way I like it. The previous owner ( CodSack on here ) installed LED's in the hood seamlessly and even wired up the fans to cut on and off with the lights. He even made all the stock switches and timer to work, So the tank functions just like a stock RSM. I am running a intake media basket and a Tunze 9002 skimmer. I have a MP10 that I will be taking out of the Biocube and installing in this tank. Anyways without further adieu here are a couple pictures of the tank. What do you guys think of the aquascaping

Well I'm not sure I'm going to have a cycle being I used the live rock and live sand the P/O had in the tank. My ammonia went up to .25ppm then back to zero along nitrites and nitrates. The tank has been up and running for 4 days now. I might at 2-3 pieces of coral and see how they do. What do you guys think?

They get very aggressive and will more than ikely go after the fish. But that is my experience. Good luck with whatever route you go!
