Depreciation of my Miami

http://joeknowsreefs.com/products-in...-fox-my-miami/

What once was a whopping $1200 an eye is now only $170.

I'm waiting for it to be $60 an eye. If I buy it for $60 and let it grow for a year, I'll be lucky to get $30 an eye when it's time for fraggin. Or maybe I just won't frag it!

There are around five other named chalice that look very similar to it now also. From what I understand my Miami grows fairly fast also.

I think the other named chalices that look similar probably are the same thing, just under different lighting and given different name givers.

Casio is probably a watch (and an inexpensive one).

Back 7 or so years ago when I got my frag of Echinopora (what some of you refer to as Hollywood Stunner), it was going for about $100 for a small frag. More than an "eye" (which is really a mouth... never quite understood that...but I digress). That was way before the big chalice craze, and when my friend got it for me he was all excited about it and I didn't think it was even a very nice sliver of whatever.

7 years later, the thing is about 2 feet across and I have a hard time giving frags away LOL! If it was still worth $100 for a small chip, I'd be a gazillionaire!

designer corals have the same half life as new phones. If you pay full price for them right when they come out, well lets just say I pity you...almost as much as people who buy new cars off the lot.

may as well just say, sure here ya go, burn my money.

Well, considering I got my "Stunner" sliver for a trade I can't even remember, and we have probably sold over 100 frags off it, and it's still 2' wide, I'd say I got a good return on my "investment"

Everyone says that about new technology. It's not fun using out dated phones tho. I love my phones .

But Danny they don't build used new cars! Someone has to use them first for you to buy them. The corals are already used, impatience or ego is the determining with the corals.
