Lumen Max Elite Owners???????

I have this reflector with glass and am needing to replace the bulb. The way it is mounted I am having issues getting the glass out. I know that the socket is supposed to be able to be removed from the reflector but am having issues getting it out as well. I don't want to break it so I figured I'd ask on here. Does anyone have any tricks to getting the socket out of the reflector??
