Use super glue gel. Get the proper epoxy from your lfs.

Heres what you want to do if you REALLY want to affix a coral 1st super glue GEL (MUST BE GEL) the frag to the plug. Hold it in place for a good 20 secs or more to get it stable then put it back in a non flow area of the tank (may have to turn off power heads a few min). Don't worry I've forgotten about SpS frags and had them on the counter for more than an hour and they are fine haha. Once you have a frag ON a plug. You want to snap (or cut) off the finger on the bottom of the plug so that you only have a small one down there. Now.. take some super glue gel and place it on the bottom of the plug. Next... take a small thumbnail sized ball of the 2 part epoxy (stick kind not liquid) and squish it on. Then... some more super glue on the bottom of the epoxy. Once you have the frag plug -> superglue -> epoxy -> super glue combo you can squish it ANYWHERE on your rock work and it will stay. just hold it for a few seconds and it will stick!!! |
