Frag meeting 2012 master thread
THIS IS THE 2012 FRAG MEETING MASTER THREAD GRAND DADDY OF ALL ARC EVENTS Sponsored by All updates and additional info will be posted here. (So I suggest subscribing to this thread) For additional information on event location and speakers, please refer to their respective threads. Event Place- Georgia World Congress Center Event Day/Date- Saturday, February 25 Event Time- Noon-4pm (Specific itinerary coming soon) Room will be open to everyone 11am-5pm. Members who are looking to have tables- First come first served after 11am. Unless you're wanting to help setup or just want to hang out with other reefers, there's no reason to be there before noon, but you're welcome to be there if you want. Please note that parking is $10/day (Red Parking Deck) or $8/day (Green Lot, uncovered). The green lot is closer to the actual room. Alternatively, there's a MARTA station nearby. No pre-registration is required. Just show up. You may sign up for ARC Membership at the meeting, but ARC membership is not required to attend. (Members will get the best loot though!) It's here, it's big, and it's the one you don't wanna miss! Frags We blew the top off the budget and will have some VERY nice coral frags to give away. (Will post pics of the mother colonies if time allows) All Members will get at least one frag and be entered for drawings. If quantities allow, we will be giving away frags to non-members as well. Speakers We are excited to present a dynamic duo of speakers and another great fragging demonstration and class. (Marc Levenson, Scott Fellman, and Philip Root) Raffles Raffle prizes that eclipse any we have done before. When I say big raffle items, I mean BIG! I will update the list here prior to the event. But, to get the party started, I'll mention an Ecotech Radion will be in the mix!  There will also be great give aways to Members just for attending! Sponsors We have local and out of town sponsors going all out to bring some mind blowing frags displayed like you've never seen! (Top secret display still under construction at MRC for one of our sponsors.) So, I highly recommend a fist full of cash or credit cards! There will be some nice deals, no doubt! Boo-yah! Urban Dictionary- The way people from the Southern US say; "great" or "fantastic". Mostly the male portion of the population. Most frequently used when a positive accomplishment has taken place. Is it too late to become a member and participate in the member activities? Will there be a sign-up at the frag swap?

ARC Frag Meeting
No pre-registration is required. Just show up. You may sign up for ARC Membership at the meeting, but ARC membership is not required to attend.
(Members will get the best loot though!) While we cannot guaranty every member will walk away with $30+ worth of goods/corals, membership will definitely have it's advantages here. If you have EVER considered joining the ARC, now is the time! |

in addition to small bills, what should one bring to the frag swap? I have never been before. Do I need to bring plastic bag(s) to bring back frags that I get/purchase or will there be such supplies there already?

Bring a cooler to put them in so they maintain close to the same temp the entire time
