Drilled 125 w/ Oak Stand & Canopy
It's a 125 Perfecto 72x18x22, drilled for overflow and return in upper back corners. The holes were professionally drilled and are perfect. I have the bulkheads for them. It has a single center brace, so only 2 MH lights are needed. The tank was made in 2000 and is still in great shape, needs some more cleaning and has blue latex paint on the back that can be easily removed. I have never used it. It has always been on the stand on a piece of 1/2" hard insulation.
The stand and canopy are by Glass Cages. Both are oak. The stand is 30" tall. It has two large openings in the front and a solid back. The canopy is 12" high, and has gilloutine openings. All interior finishes have had three coats of oil based primer and three coats of white, oil based paint ( interior, no mold additives ). The exterior has been stained a medium finish and has a coat of polyurethane. All finishes have cured for two years. I spent over thirty hours sanding and finishing them. I could use the floor space back, and I'm looking to start with a smaller tank- maybe a 65. I'm asking $500 for the setup and may consider parting if needed. Let me know if you are interested. It's a nice setup in need of a good home. ![]() |

Hello, Flaco.
You can click on his user name and send him a private message. Probably the best way to reach him. But why settle for a 55, when a drilled 125 with a nice oak stand and canopy can be yours???? Huh? Why oh why settle, my friend? LOL |

Setup is still for sale.
Would lowering the price to $425 help? The tank is clean and solid. The stand and canopy are, for want of a better term, new. Am I asking too much still? That's less than the price of the stand and canopy unfinished and the tank would be a freebie. I'd like to get it into a good home this weekend. |

I'm gonna drop the price to $375.
I'd really like to get enough money back out of this setup to put towards the lights I want for a smaller setup. Here's some more info on the tank: It's a 2" overflow bulkhead on the right, back corner: 5" from the side and 3" from the top of the frame to the edge of the hole. The return is a 1-1/4" bulkhead on the left, back corner: 3" from the side and 2-1/2" from the top of the frame. I'm including both of the bulkheads, and the gaskets and threads look good on both of them. ( Bulkhead measurements taken from the inside threaded opening. ) There are NO cracks, chips, chatter, nothing around the holes - NONE. I've looked them over with a flashlight and a magnifying glass. I've left the bulkheads off to eliminate any risk of them getting bumped or any unneccessary stress to the glass. The guy who drilled them knows what he's doing and does it very well and charges accordingly. If they haven't cracked in seven years, I seriously doubt that they ever will. |
