Google Sketch Up Help or 3D rendering
Does anyone here do 3D rendering or know how to use Google Sketch Up?
I cant imagine what the dimensions I am thinking would look like in a room at eye level or next to a person so I wanted a 3d sketch up. I tried Google sketch up for about 1/2hr but I could even draw a cube. I suck at these programs. The dimensions Im thinking are either 60x27x22 or 60x30x20. I know I said I had decided on the 60x30x20 but I never stick to a decision...lol. Thanks, Jorge |

Word is Lee is half-decent in this arena. But, the kid runs a BB tank, so make of it what you will!

well... uhhh what are the dimension of the room? I can throw together a quick sketch up if you give the dimensions of the room your interested in(keep it square lol, I cant spend hours on it :p)
and also the intended height of the stand. and is that 27 high by 20" wide? or other way, like top to bottom, water depth, 27" from air to sand? |

I hate (love) to brag here, but check out my 90g build and hit me up with any questions you may have, I designed it all in SketchUp before ever cutting a single piece of wood. I'm a real mouse-slinger in SketchUp. That's right, I said it.

Dustin, thanks for that link and you have every right to brag man. Thats a great cabinet. And an awesome job on Sketch up. One question, did you do something to the cabinet so that you could access the tank from the sides if needed?
As for the sketch up, more than anything Im just trying to figure out what the tank would look like; basically, is it too short for the length an depth, etc. Im trying to get an idea of the 3D look of it. However, seeing what you did, do you think you could fit my dimensions into your cabinet on sketch up and then just on a regular stand that would sit at eye level? That would be awesome!! ![]() 60" L x 28" W x 22" T |
