Bartlett anthias
I have 3 female for about a month now.Last week one showed up in the morning with no tail. I'm thinking maybe a crab got it while it was sleeping. The fish is fine eats good and swims best she can with no tail. Question is will the tail grow back. Also schools fine with the other 2.

If there is enough tissue left, yes it will. If it's gone past the point of no return, no. However I have seen damaged fish do just fine without - they just don't win any beauty contests
![]() Keep an eye for infection but if it's a clean wound and doesn't get infected, the fish should be fine either way. Hope it does grow back! Jenn

Fins/tails usually heal pretty quickly - is it showing any signs of growing back?

Just keep an eye - if it's been over a week she'll probably be fine.
