Skimmer Recommendation?
I'm currently on the lookout for a skimmer for A 5' 125. We'll be using a 55G sump. What type / version would you recommend? It will be moderately stocked with fish and mixed reef. Thanks!

I'm looking at an Octopus 160 right now. I've read nothing but good things about them. Small 8x10 footprint, quiet Sicce pump draws 30w, bubble plate on the newer models. Haven't heard anything bad. Apparently it's a set it and forget it type skimmer. Well, don't forget to clean the collection cup!

That's a good deal on a decent skimmer. I know what you mean by tall...that's what i'm using.

Heck yeah! If there's not already a "Club Octo" we'll be starting one!

I love my 160 Octopus. Its a little loud but the collection cup is very easy to come off for cleaning. Overall, working very well and easy to maintain for collection cup. Love it...

Joe, do you have the Sicce pump? I've heard those things are whisper quiet!
