Help ID this thing growing in my sump
I have been searching but the only I can thing I can come up is that it is some type of Macro Red Algae..It has been growing in my tank for at least 3-4 weeks.
Sorry but that is the best picture I can take in my sump. Its acrylic so I can't really clean the coralline from the tank. Oh by the way, it is not Cyano..The texture is somewhat fibrous (not 100% sure but I haven't yank on it yet). At first I thought it was some type of sponge thats why I let it grow.. |

Looks like a red urchin to me. Or are you talking about the polyp below it?

I thought that is what you were talking about, but wanted to make sure. You just never know with some posts.
Need to see a closer view so the branching is more visible. |
