Glad to help. It's a beautiful tank and I look forward to seeing it progress.

Maybe I am mistaken but I thought rimless tanks should always have foam placed under them to account for any bit on the stand or floor not being perfectly level. May be worth researching before putting water in the tank.

Thanks,

Austin

Well folks, the move is over! We are in the new house!

I learned a hard lesson in the process. Do not let movers touch your prize custom fish tank without your supervision! Otherwise this is what happens!

After a couple hours of a whole lot of blood and sweat....(literally) I managed to remove all the external overflow broken glass. It was a MAJOR PITA!

I ordered replacement glass from Glasscages.com (cost about $225) after having them drill 5 holes and shipping).

I am expecting the new glass in a couple weeks. Once I reassemble the overflow, the tank will be water tested in the garage. Then it's time to begin the build... AGAIN......

I did buy foam. I have 1" thick insulation foam.. you can see it in the pic above. It's purple.

here is the rebuilt overflow box. The Silicone is still not cured yet (its pretty soft/sticky) even 36 hours after building the box. Im not sure if the humidity is the issue or what?

I got $300 from the moving company. But that barely covered the cost of the glass. Had I needed to have someone repair this for me, I would probably be looking at double that.
