Anyone interested in buying MaxSpect LED light

I was thinking of ordering 230w version for my new tank I am planning on building. Since they come from China, I was hoping to get few people in to get some kind of discount in shipping or unit itself. Let me know if anyone is interested so I can contact them to get more detail on discount. There is 10% off coupon code "3CBE2BFX" for any product on their site.

So am I to understand that for $470 I can have an LED fixture that is the equivalent of 250W halides with actinics and lunar lights? Something doesn't seem right! Has anyone tried these things?

Nevermind, I see now that their measurements are in cm. That means I would need 2 of what you're getting and that's $1400!!

Looks like I could get equivalent to 150W halides for around $750 before shipping. Better...

Well it depends on which model you get. 230w LED is equivalent to 400w mh. You could buy different model, just look under lighting and you will see deferent LED fixture. It has 18months warranty with shipping included if something goes wrong.

Yes, but it's only 2.5 feet wide. I don't think that would cover a 48 inch tank very well.

Na it wount, so yes you will have to get 2 units but then again watt per watt I think Maxspect is cheaper. Let me know if I am wrong.

On that link if you go further down it says that unit is about 28" but it is suitable for 47" long tank. I dont think that is correct but again I think for the price it is not bad.

Hmmm...I'm officially interested. Dammit! I'll do a little more research and see what I find. Let me know what happens with you getting any discounts worked out. 10% is pretty good so far!

I'm in for a maxspect or possibly a key one. I need one for my nano so I can gauge how I like it compared to my halides for color and growth.

I proceeded to check out to find what shipping would be. UPS says $247 and regular shipping says $169. They say they will upgrade for free to UPS, but still $169 for shipping? OUCH! That brings my purchase to $808 for two of the 110W. We can do better than that!!

I am sure we can do much better on shipping with multiple units shipped. The website says wholesale welcome so I believe the advertised price can be beat as well.
