Some kind of invert.
Jamescook has then all over his systems, he is currently tumbling a batch of them.

Ok got ya. The catepillar part threw me off. Ha. I'm not disagreeing with you but these egg sacks are a little larger than the size of one of those pods curled up.

I just tossed them back into a refugium. I'm finding them on all the strainer baskets and plumbing.

They look like Strombus snail egg sacs, do you have any strombus snails in your tank?
