You'll probably have the best luck buying a clam from a LFS. Most people that have them like keeping them right where they are. And a good price only comes if someone is moving. I wouldn't sell my clams for any less than twice what I paid. But I like them. Maybe someone else doesn't like their clam anymore.

I have one that I could let go for $40. It's a purple one, medium size. i'm guessing it's a derasa clam?

Rit had some nice clams earlier in the week and a few were on the smaller side. Perhaps give him a call...
