Do you carry this Mysis and if not would you? This stuff is pure protein at nearly 70% compared to other brands at around 10%. Thanks Danny for turning me onto this stuff. Hard to get around here as few people carry it in stock with regularity.

Thanks much. Hopefully it will be a nice selling item for you. I didn't know this stuff was so good until Danny told me and I started doing the research. Don't even have to worry about it introducing a bunch of crap into the system via the frozen water as it is a fresh water brine. Very nice stuff.

Petland in Alpharetta now carries them. I was in there this past week and Josh told me about them and that they just started carrying them. I bought some but have not used them. They come in sheets frozen and are not that much more than the regular ones. Seems like the pricing is more but you get a lot more.

Called over there and they said they didn't have any earlier this week. Atlantis was the same way. At any rate, Sam is likley to carry them at a cheaper price.

That's the greatest thing about this stuff--you pay a bit more per ounce, but the wasted water weight in normal frozen cubes which goes to pollute your tank is eliminated, and you make up the difference in crude fat and protein. Just compare the percentage of protein in normal frozen mysis--I'd guess about 7%-10%--to that in PE mysis, which is something like 60-70%. So basically, you're getting about 10 times the protein than you would normally, and can feed less and get more. I've never seen a fish or an LPS pass the stuff up, either...

Yep everything about it is better best I can tell. Being freshwater mysis also has a lot of advantages as the frozen water is less likely to have contaminants that some salt systems might.

and easier on fishes' guts, too.

We have the PE Mysis 8oz flat packs on order to arrive later this week. The 8oz flat packs will be around $12.00 each.

That is a couple bucks cheaper than most places around town carry them for after discount to my knowledge. Thanks Sam. Next time I am over, I will stop in and pick up a pack or two.

So is the difference between this brand and other that out on the market?Compared to Hikari and SF Bay it is 6 times plus more protein per gram of mysis. So instead of 10% you are getting well over 60% which means less food going into the tank and less left overs to skim out. The McDonald brand (which I know few places carry in the states) is the same as the PE brand. Cost wise McDonald and PE are very close.
