Went to BP today and had a great experience.

Store was clean.

Fish were healthy.

Good selection of fish/corals

Just the right amount of customer service (I've been in customer service for 25yrs and tend to "set the bar high" on what I think is acceptable, so A+ for these guys) They were helpful to me and every other patron of the store while I was there.

THEY GAVE ME MY ARC DISCOUNT WITH OUT MY EVEN ASKING FOR IT!!!!

I introduced myself and told them I was an ARC member when I entered the store, but neglected to ask for any discount upon check out 30 to 40 minutes later. Didn't notice until I got in my car that they deducted 15% off my small purchase (on a Saturday afternoon no less, as many sponsers do not honor discounts at that time)

I plan to go back for larger purchases later, but with the upcoming meeting, I'm not real certain what all I've already bought/commited to purchase from other members. (it's a good thing there's an ATM in the building we'll be meeting in.)

Blue Planet is south of Atlanta and a great asset to our reefing comunity, as other LFS's seem to be bunched on the north end of the city. If you're around I-20 or further south, this is the place to go. It would be worth the trip for anyone located in the metro area regardless of where you live.

On a side note, they have a H U G E eel that needs a home. They graciously rescued it and it seems very healthy and active. There's an all too low a price of 50 bucks for it, but a great deal for someone with a huge tank (Mike, Sal?) so consider giving this guy a home!

Thanks BP for a great experience and I'll see you again soon!

Yep--I've been there 3 times and had the same experience every time.

I was there Thursday with my daughter and asked a lot of stupid questions (mostly so that my daughter could hear from Tiffany that we really didn't want a Panther Grouper in a reef tank, for example, as she didn't want to believe me--I'll be stupid until she turns 25 or so...). The answers were always correct and delivered in such a way as to not make you feel, well, stupid!

Moreover--a family was in and buying a number of fish for a new tank and asking a lot of newbie questions. When they said they wanted a Mandarin Tiffany politely convinced him that he didn't want one yet.

I asked about 3ft T5 bulbs and she offered to open up a complete fixture and sell me the bulbs out of it!

Yea, I'm sold--I know where most of my LFS money is gonna be going...

Ya I gotta agree with y'all. I FINALLY got a chance to stop in today. The store was very clean, the two girls besides Tiffany working were nice, the fish were healthy, the corals looked good and the best part was how Tiffany handled a few customers on the phone. Tiffany did not know I was listening (sorry to ease drop) but she gave good advice to the person on the phone. I wish I had this store about 50 miles closer to me!!! Great experience... Defiantly on my "must visit" list!

Will have to stop by. I kept waiting for some RBTAs to come in but never seemed to arrive when I had time to make the trip. Now it sounds like I should just go to go.

I was there today and the store was nice. The tanks were really clean and the shark tank was awesomel!! Too bad they weren't around when I lived on the Southside of Atlanta.
