Went to BP today and had a great experience.
Store was clean.
Fish were healthy.
Good selection of fish/corals
Just the right amount of customer service (I've been in customer service for 25yrs and tend to "set the bar high" on what I think is acceptable, so A+ for these guys) They were helpful to me and every other patron of the store while I was there.
THEY GAVE ME MY ARC DISCOUNT WITH OUT MY EVEN ASKING FOR IT!!!!
I introduced myself and told them I was an ARC member when I entered the store, but neglected to ask for any discount upon check out 30 to 40 minutes later. Didn't notice until I got in my car that they deducted 15% off my small purchase (on a Saturday afternoon no less, as many sponsers do not honor discounts at that time)
I plan to go back for larger purchases later, but with the upcoming meeting, I'm not real certain what all I've already bought/commited to purchase from other members. (it's a good thing there's an ATM in the building we'll be meeting in.)
Blue Planet is south of Atlanta and a great asset to our reefing comunity, as other LFS's seem to be bunched on the north end of the city. If you're around I-20 or further south, this is the place to go. It would be worth the trip for anyone located in the metro area regardless of where you live.
On a side note, they have a H U G E eel that needs a home. They graciously rescued it and it seems very healthy and active. There's an all too low a price of 50 bucks for it, but a great deal for someone with a huge tank (Mike, Sal?) so consider giving this guy a home!
Thanks BP for a great experience and I'll see you again soon!
