Here are some of my suggestions some hopefully easy and quick:

Change the Articles link above to either be Wiki or Articles/Wiki. I didn't know that took you to the wiki until Mojo told me.
Add a redirect of wiki.atlantareefclub.org to the wiki site. I did this as well and you have to know that it is www.atlantareefclub.org/wiki (http://www.atlantareefclub.org/wiki).
I know this is involved I am sure, but it would make the wiki WAY better if you integrated the forum search into the wiki. I would probably start using the wiki if I thought people could search it.
This was Mojos suggestion, but add new Wiki articles and updates to the New Posts and/or Recent Threads list. This is another great idea. I would probably read the wiki articles more if I knew when members were updating.
Just a thought: Create a wiki tracking tag under peoples names to encourage wiki posts. Every time you create a post you get X points and X points for each update to an article. Hopefully this would spawn more people into getting into wiki posts. There is a lot of great information that could go in there.
Just a thought: Wiki article contest. A contest that runs say 2-3 months, the members vote for the best submitted article, winner gets something VERY cool like a kick butt skimmer or great frag. Second and third would get a nice prize as well.
Just a thought: Wiki coordinator (and no I am not volunteering). Someone appointed by the board to move good threads from the forums into the wiki and be responsible for keeping the content up.Those are just some ideas. Feel encouraged to criticize, improve and add new suggestions to the list.

The name can also be something creative. Our wiki at work is called Wikimaka (maka means something in Hawaiian).

Oops- I never saw this thread. All good ideas. Loren has found some update wiki software with a lot better forum integration, and I think he's going to look into getting it up on ARC...

Yes I am. The only hitch is that we want to transfer the existing Wiki articles and the soon-to-be release patch for the new software will take care of that.

I think folks will find this new tool a bit easier to use as it uses the native VBulletin editing tools. You can also convert thread to wiki articles. The best feature is that the Search is integrated with the forum search.

Stay tuned.

It looks like a MUCH better product than the one we are using now. I think the wiki is a great idea, but without better integration I don't think it will ever get fully used.

Moved to new Site Suggestions/Issues topic area.

This is temporarily on hold. The guy that write the wiki software that we currently use and also write the one we want to migrate to is MIA. I'm looking for an alternate but that seemed to be the one and only.

I'll keep you all posted as I hear more.

That blows. I think the wiki is a great idea, but it needs integration or I fear it will be a never used section of the website as people won't be able to search on it and such.

Hey- I had an idea - the wiki could be called .... (drumroll)....

ARCapedia

:)

I like it. I changed the name, now everyone post wikis.

I'm thinking to get this going again to put dynamic drop down under the name and have 'Search' and 'Articles'. Search will access the wiki search.

Yeah, we don't have the cool integrated search. But maybe that's a limitation we'll have to live with.

I saw an easy fix to integrate the search somewhere, but never did it...

Everything I search for leads me back to Nuhit.com...and it doesn't look like this guys is coming back. At least not after the flame mail on the various forums for taking money and not supporting the product.

Like the ARCapedia and too bad we can't get good integration into the forums. Seems like this would be a no brainer for vBulletin to have. Hopefully NuHit or whatever it is will come back.

Well, it is integrated, but not as much as it could be. I'd rather see us use what we have now rather than wait for something perfect that may never come. We should be able to migrate from pretty much anything in the future, if need be...
