Xyzpdq0121 10-13-2007, 9:07 PM Tony, I am going to try to work it out if I can... If Tony's does not work out, please cosider having it in Norcross, Duluth area and I can be there on time. It is just, with the way my work schedule is, I do not know if I can make it there by 6:30 or 7:00.
SShindell 10-13-2007, 9:08 PM The other option is to have it at our house on Sunday before the MACNA meeting.
gwen_o_lyn 10-13-2007, 9:18 PM I should be able to make it by 6:30 if it's at Tony's, however driving to Norcross or Duluth is out of the question. :)
Shindell's house is always good.
Donalds1 10-13-2007, 9:33 PM Can I catch a ride with someone ? Yes I drive but I tend to not want to drive after being in a patrol car all day. Besides I need to bond with someone other then my kids when I am off work :) I am off lost mountain road in powder springs
Dakota9 10-14-2007, 12:17 AM If anyone is going on the south end of town, I/we could car pool there.....
Just a thought...
Linda Lee 10-14-2007, 5:34 PM 6:00-6:30 would work for me. I will leave from Marietta Square. Donald, if you want a ride from there, you're more than welcome. Would have room for a couple others also.
Of course, this means I'll finally be forced to clean out my car....
Linda Lee 10-14-2007, 9:02 PM The other option is to have it at our house on Sunday before the MACNA meeting.
This would be a GREAT idea... combine two meetings into one day with maybe a short break in between?
What a generous offer for the use of your home.
I am out of town and would really like to attend this meeting, especially since it deals with MACNA and other important club matters. I agree with Steve, if we could have it before the MACNA XX Planning meeting. This will help people from having to clear their calenders for 2 days.
Xyzpdq0121 10-14-2007, 9:55 PM Ya befor the Sunday meeting would work for me. I need to be at this meeting given the subject matter. I will have to leave though before the Bronco game starts at 8:00pm! ;)
Linda Lee 10-15-2007, 1:41 AM I will have to leave though before the Bronco game starts at 8:00pm! ;)
Tape the game... we promise we won't tell you who wins.
;)
Lifestudent 10-15-2007, 2:24 AM I should be able to make it by 6:30 if it's at Tony's, however driving to Norcross or Duluth is out of the question. :)
Shindell's house is always good.
 Sunday works out great for me, while on Thurs I'm coaching soccer and would arrive sometime after 7pm!
Thursday evening at Tony's works best for me... Anytime after 5pm.
tsciarini 10-16-2007, 1:13 AM hmm... well I'm not sure yet. I might not be able to make Sunday.
Do you all think we should push it back a week?
Kevin 10-16-2007, 11:40 AM If we can't all make it this week, lets push it back a week.
tsciarini 10-16-2007, 3:04 PM Sounds good to me... we can push it back. What works best?
(speak up folks, this meeting is for all of you)
Xyzpdq0121 10-16-2007, 3:36 PM Weekend always works best for me... ;)
Weekdays somewhere on the East end of town seem to work best always for me (Heck 285 and 85 is perfect!)
But I am not being picky or anything! ;)
Linda Lee 10-16-2007, 4:37 PM Weekend best for me ... Sunday, in particular. The earlier, the better so it doesn't break up the day too much. What about a breakfast meeting?
SShindell 10-16-2007, 4:52 PM I can't do that - I work at the aquarium. And some people have church.
Donalds1 10-16-2007, 10:47 PM mmm I am off this weekend but work until 2:45 pm the next sat/sun so if it is next weekend if you can make it after that time that would be great. just let meknow when and I will do my best
Seedless Reefer 10-16-2007, 11:29 PM Tele-conference. It's the only way.
Victor626nj 10-17-2007, 2:13 AM i think i might be able to make it if my wife doesnt give birth but i would love to be there and want to start getting more involved with the club things here need to pick up =-)
Xyzpdq0121 10-17-2007, 12:17 PM Tele-conference. It's the only way.
We are working on that for next year...
Linda Lee 10-17-2007, 12:20 PM A password-protected chatroom might be an option also. Then text can be saved for an easy documentation of the minutes.
gwen_o_lyn 10-17-2007, 9:42 PM Prefer weekday evenings since I'm already in the area.
Weekends are a contruction mess on 75, so driving is no fun.
tsciarini 10-18-2007, 12:32 AM The BoD meeting will not be shared with this weekends MACNA meeting.
Stand by for scheduling/location tomorrow.
I have a suggestion (and it's public, so no one can say they didn't see it coming). I want EVERYONE who is attending the BoD meeting to come up with a list of usernames of people that have a history of antagonistic posts, and ideally a couple of posts (printed out) that illustrates this.
What's the purpose? To start to 1) identify patterns within the members of who is causing problems- one of us cannot do it 2) Discuss a policy about what to do with those who do not contribute to the betterment of the club - suspended account, global ignore list, public humiliation, nothing - whatever.
I'm tired of saying 'a select few are antagonistic.' We have a responsibility to the club members who actually enjoy the club and could do without the drama. If we can manage the few that cause problems better, then [hopefully] we can create a better club and site.
tsciarini 10-18-2007, 1:13 AM Is that a question or statement?
If question: week... Thursday as long as I can book the location
If statement: huh?
LorenK 10-18-2007, 2:01 AM This is a bad idea...sorry Chris. I realize you are angry and can appreciate why...but this will only turn out bad.
We don't need a ***** session to figure out that some folks have trollish tendancies. They aren't bad, just like to debate/argue.
Those with trollish tendencies just need a place to vent, AKA "The Pit". Personally, I think it should be members only though. Those that don't want to pay are essentially guests and should act as such.
Oh yeah, if we do get a pit...we're going to need a lot more smilies.
Just my thoughts.

Xyzpdq0121 10-18-2007, 2:29 AM I will do whatever it takes to be at this meeting and I will ask for some time from the BoD to talk about the direction of the club next year. Most of the things up for discussion are in my notes of things to take a good hard look at for next year. Is this going to be a voting meeting or just a meeting that things are discussed?
jmaneyapanda 10-18-2007, 9:52 AM Im totally confused. When are we looking? Where? Huh?..... My work schedules is the worst work schedule ever created in the history of civilization, so I have no idea if/when I could attend.

This BoD meeting will be a meeting where we vote on several items, and discuss many more.

Thanks for your input. Maybe I am being too harsh. I keep thinking that if ~10 forum users can be "taken care of," then sanity would return here. Without that list, we can't do much about it.

You can talk about whatever you'd like. There will be a lot more discussion than there will be voting! :)
Linda Lee 10-18-2007, 12:19 PM To clarify:
The meeting this Sunday is MACNA only?
Tonight's BoD meeting will be rescheduled?
tsciarini 10-18-2007, 12:35 PM The BoD meeting will not be shared with this weekends MACNA meeting.
Stand by for scheduling/location tomorrow.
(Today)
The person I need to talk to about the location has not gotten to work yet. I will not make an announcement until I have confirmation.
Stand by.

Okie Doke... just trying to clarify if tonight's meeting is in fact being rescheduled so I know if I have to be somewhere tonight.
If it's being pushed back, don't really need to know the date/locale right now ~ just trying to plan the next 8-10 hours of my life. :)
tnyga 10-18-2007, 12:54 PM Tele conference..?? That is probably the best idea Ive read on these boards since Ive found them... lol (dont fret..theres been other great ideas also) whew
cmjazz 10-18-2007, 2:40 PM If we need a location, my facility can handle a large group. We are in the Alpharetta area, off of ext 12 on 400. It's currently available the rest of this week and all of next week. Just let me know.
tsciarini 10-18-2007, 4:31 PM Thanks Carlos!!! I think this works out better than the resturant/bar considering the subject matter at hand.

Linda Lee 10-18-2007, 5:32 PM Total Est. Time: 52 minutes Total Est. Distance: 39.34 miles
Will do my best to be there @ 7:00... but may be a bit late.

I'm only 61.1 mi – about 1 hour 10 mins :yuk:
I think they forgot to tack on "adding a lane - road construction" to that time estimate.
Cameron 10-19-2007, 3:00 AM Just a thought, but if you are doing this up 400 you might want to slide it to 7:30pm or 8pm. I know that is late for some, but 400 at 6-6:30 can be evil. Coming from Lawrenceville down Duluth Hwy probably won't be pleasant either.
BTW doesn't effect me just trying to be helpful.
Only 78.49 miles here....Uhmmmmm Dont think Ill make it.. lol
Linda Lee 10-19-2007, 10:06 AM I'm going to try MariettaSquare-to-RoswellRd-to-HolcombeBridgeRd-to-GA400 and avoid 75-285-400. Will see how that goes. Might go home the other way and see what kind of mileage difference there really is.
And... someday let's do a meeting in West Cobb!
BTW, I can see if Cobb County Government allows use of any of its conference rooms after hours. I believe the B.O.C. meetings are held in a room that seats 200+. If anyone wants me to check, let me know. Marietta Square is not that terribly inconvenient to East Cobb and the public parking deck is open/free after 5:00 p.m.
Dakota9 10-25-2007, 8:37 AM I tried the google link, but did not see Ridgeland Pkwy on the map, plus when I plugged in my addy for directions, it came back with an error message. I know where McFarland is, so hopefully I'll find it. I'm emailing the address to my work email, maybe my work computer will have better luck.
To anyone who knows me, could you please call me if you don't see me at the meeting? If I'm not there, it means that I'm lost in comming somewhere and can't find you guys...... 404 402 7764
Thanks
LorenK 10-25-2007, 10:03 AM oooh, I like this location. Only 3 miles for me.
As far as traffic on 400 goes, I take it to exit 12 daily. It will get congested after exit 11. Stay in the right lane as that is exit only for 12...seems to move the fastest.
Kevin 10-25-2007, 10:21 AM Loren, thanks for the heads up, hopefully people will take it into account in their travels this evening
Linda Lee 10-25-2007, 10:44 AM I heard there's going to be an open bar and hors d'œuvres.
That's very generous on your part, Kev!!
:)

Linda, you are funny... I know there will definately not be any alcohol at this meeting. Linda, if you are going to be bringing some scrumptious hors d'oevors, that would be wonderful!
We will see y'all tonight.
Meeting minutes posted (http://www.atlantareefclub.org/forums/showthread.php?t=9040).
