Well, I finally made it to my scheduled first dive in Ocean Voyager. Pretty cool dive when the first thing you have to remember is not to hit the whale shark on the way in....Unbelievable.

If ya can try to do one with me....I am doing the entire day Ocean in the Am and Cold Water in the afternoon. PS... I bounced off Alice last week and received a mask full of tail. :) DannyBradley 10-01-2007, 10:58 PM What is like being next to such a massive organism? I can't imagine what it's like the first time you get in the tank next to one of them. SShindell 10-01-2007, 11:01 PM Imagine a swimming bus.... It really is pretty incredible. The hammerhead and groupers were nice too. Overall, not a bad dive. DannyBradley 10-01-2007, 11:30 PM Oddly enough, I can picture that perfectly. washowi 12-21-2007, 12:45 AM Steve....you dive yet? ericmcj31 12-21-2007, 12:50 AM how do you get to dive there?? SShindell 12-21-2007, 7:12 AM Contact volunteer services. It is NOT like you just walk up and dive. You have to put in hours in non-dive related activities, go through training and a physical ($370), commit to a certain number of dives per month, etc. If you are serious, weekday diving is easier to find on the schedule than weekend diving, and plan on at least a year before you hit the water. sdminson 12-29-2007, 2:39 AM I am truly jealous that would be amazing. ericmcj31 12-29-2007, 9:55 AM yeah--that is great; I wish I had the time to devote to helping out the GA Aquarium-that would be awesome. |
