Just a quick hello and intro. I'm new to the forum but not to the hobby. I currently have a 90 gallon reef in the works running LEDs and a Reef Octopus Recirculating skimmer. It currently has 3 piscine inhabitants (Red Jewel Nano Blenny, Midas Blenny, and a Firefish). It also has a variety of LPS and soft coral.

I'm also setting up a 10 gallon nano reef that will be mixed coral with 1-2 tiny fish. It's still dry with a stock hood, but dry rock is on the way and the cycling will hopefully begin this weekend. I plan on putting a T5 fixture on this tank after the cycle is complete.

Eventually I plan to set up my currently empty 50 gallon as an SPS reef running either LEDs or a T5/MH combo fixture.

Merry Meet!

Sounds like you have a very interesting set-up. I'm already Googling "Red Jewel Blenny".

Thanks for posting.....

Thanks for the welcome! Here are some quick shots of my tanks......

Here's my 10 gallon starting

Here's my (now empty) 50 gallon. Everything in it minus the sand got moved to the 90 when I upgraded after a tank crash (well, a fish crash; inverts were all fine.....)

And here's an FTS of my 90. I have a few tiny frags in there that you can't see, and I've moved/added a couple corals since this, but here it is!

See? It did happen!

I have mixed emotions about the Red Jewel Blenny. She's really tiny and very shy, so I almost never see her in my 90 :boo:. I rarely ever saw her in my 50 either. On the other hand, she's the only fish that survived the tank disaster, and she survived the move from the 50 to the 90, which is really impressive to me since she rode the rocks, and the rocks were out of water for almost 2 hours while I aquascaped and filled the tank. I honestly thought she had died until I saw her swimming around a day later checking out her new digs! So she's a super-survivor, really hardy, and almost never seen. She's also mostly black against black sand, so that makes her even harder to see! I think she'd be great in my 10 that I'm setting up, but I don't think I'm ever going to be able to net her out of the 90. Oh well.
