Well I thought I knew what I was doing but..... I have a HOB do I want the end of the tube below the water level in the sump or above and just running into the water. I have it under the water level and I seam to be putting a lot of bubbles in the sump.

Mine is under the water level to help break the sound and yes it makes bubles but the ones I get are kinda big and are sucked up by the skimmer anyway which makes a few bubbles of its own :D

Above the water, without something to slow it down it sounds like niagra falls which I find kinda soothing but it makes me wanna go pee.

both ways work, you gotta find what works for you, loren just mentioned some of the pro's and cons.

above water makes a lot of bubbles too, you can use a sponge to slow down the bubbles.
