View Full Version : So what do you think about this tank?
Jaandgc 08-01-2007, 5:41 PM I don't think I have ever posted any pics of my tank outside of the selling forum, so here they are.

Jaandgc 08-01-2007, 5:43 PM By the way the photos have not been modded LOL straight from the camera
mike17kb 08-01-2007, 6:07 PM When my stand is finished being built and my tank is back under halides instead of power compacts (currently) want to frag some of those?
Tanks looks great. Mike
FutureInterest 08-01-2007, 7:52 PM Wow do you have enough sps? Nice veritable forest going on there.
wbholwell 08-01-2007, 8:01 PM Amazing tank. It looks very blue- what lighting do you have? Will you let me know if you ever have any frags to sell?
FishyBusiness 08-01-2007, 8:14 PM Im going to go Mission Impossible style on your tank with some fragging tools and a wire harness.
wbholwell 08-01-2007, 8:23 PM See, you've got to be careful posting pics of your stuff on this forum. Soon after you'll find yourself trying to explain to your insurance adjuster why your home was burglarized, but the only things taken were from your fish tank!
Atlanta Aquarium 08-01-2007, 8:34 PM Very nice corals Jerry. One of the better looking tank that I'd seen. Still enjoying the frags and colonies that I got from you. Matter of fact, I'd sold a frags that I got from you on ARC.
You are right. Those pictures are what you will see when look at your tank in person.
leveldrummer 08-01-2007, 9:27 PM tank looks great man, those pm's are very very sickly looking though, should probably get them to a better enviroment... (hint hint) lol. cant even tell that you fragged everything. i cant wait for my stuff to grow in like yours.
Jaandgc 08-01-2007, 10:03 PM Thanks guys
To answer some of the ?'s
Lighting is 3 250 what AC 14k's with 320 watts of 03. The only time the pics look reel blue is when I try to zoom in on something. All of the pics were taken at the same time with the same lights.
As for the amount of sps's there are plenty more that you can't see, it is starting to become a problem with overcrowding. Good problem to have I guess.
Andy I know the PM look sick thats why I don't want to stress it with any moves LOL
As for frags, I am always willing to frag, just getting a big enough order to justify a trip to atlanta is the problem. I always welcome company though.
Jerry
Cameron 08-02-2007, 12:42 AM I wouldn't have posted that tank on here... I forsee a break in and some missing SPS in your future.
TriGa22 08-02-2007, 12:52 AM Looks great man!! Very nice placement.
Cameron 08-02-2007, 12:54 AM The crazy part is you have some individual corals in there worth more than Brandon's car.
:yikes:
Amici 08-02-2007, 12:54 AM I will drive to Columbus to get SPS frags of stuff like that and just to see it! I will just make a day trip out of it kind of like I would for the GA Aquarium! PLEASE let me know when you would be willing to sell some frags and some prices so I can get some of those amazing corals!
Ok so I quickly photo shopped all the pics together to get an idea of the whole tank....Its unbelieveable!
Jaandgc 08-02-2007, 9:40 AM Thats pretty good dawgdude, I have tried taking FTS but at 8 foot long and only about 10' to the wall I just can't seem to get a good pic.
Well I know there are people on this board that don't care for SPS's so here are a couple of pics of my 90 cube LPS tank.
Enjoy

casper75 08-02-2007, 11:29 AM Jerry
your pictures skills are gettting better , but they still dont do your tank justice. If anyone has ever had the pleasure of seeing this tank in person it is just beautiful.
SaltyNoob 08-02-2007, 11:51 AM Wow what an awsome tank!!! I am going to jump on the bandwagon when it heads to Columbus, Ga and assist in the prunning heheheheheh:wow2:
Sprayin70 08-02-2007, 12:39 PM Awesome tank. You seem to have SPS keeping down to a science. Keep up the good work.
When can I come to your house and see all this stuff!!! Ill even do my best to take some full tank shots. If I can take them with my camera then I can take multiple photos of the full lenght and photoshop them into one picture if you want :)
LorenK 08-02-2007, 2:46 PM It's his LPS that has me drooooling. Need to get a bib now.

leveldrummer 08-02-2007, 4:30 PM holy crap jerry, that cube is looking WAY better than the last time i saw it. lol, is the fish still doing ok?
leveldrummer 08-02-2007, 4:31 PM next time i get some scrap acrylic, ill build you a top down box for getting some good pics of the corals, its working great for me so far.
kwl1763 08-02-2007, 5:50 PM Ya it's real Nice, His frags are great also. i got several from him about 2 months ago and all are doing well and growing like weeds!
Jaandgc 08-02-2007, 9:51 PM Andy the wrasse is still doing great
Thanks everyone for the nice words
Jerry
SJ Miller Guy 08-02-2007, 9:59 PM Jaandgc,
Great looking tanks BTW!!!
My real question is, how did you get the Sailfin and the Copperband to get along?
Jaandgc 08-02-2007, 10:54 PM The copperband was 3x as big as the sailfin and they were both put in around the same time, mind you I have a purple tang not much bigger than the sailfin in the 240 and the purple tang would have killed the copperband in short order.
JAustin 09-14-2007, 11:14 PM That's alot of SPS. How do you find the time to take care of the SPS and the LPS tanks? I've got a mixed 65g reef that keeps me busy....well i guess i spent most of my time looking at it rather that working on it.
I would love to buy frags if you ever decide to sell some. I live in Valdosta so i'm only 3hrs away. Would love to see the tanks and buy some SPS!
You've got skilzzz
tsciarini 09-14-2007, 11:16 PM very nice collection Jerry!
Seedless Reefer 09-14-2007, 11:18 PM IMHO you have way too much stuff in there and it is a real clutter let me do you a favor and take alot of that stuff off your hands.
Free of course. Please....Please......Please.
Jaandgc 09-15-2007, 9:56 AM LOL :) thanks guys
Linda Lee 09-15-2007, 10:16 AM IMHO you have way too much stuff in there and it is a real clutter let me do you a favor and take alot of that stuff off your hands.

Hmm...Loren must really be getting into this hobby. He only used to say that standing in front of someone's else's fridge ... [substitute the word "beer" for "stuff" of course]
Jerry, we need to make a run down that way to see this up close and personal.
Your tank is beautiful!
etoh_is_good 09-16-2007, 3:07 AM i'll also to the awesome tank comments. when i see the lps tank, what i first see is that blasto rock. that's way awesome. i'm sure there's other goodness in that tank.
ps please post the tank pics in the member's tank section. that section seems to be under utilized.
