I'm trying to build my own sump out of a 29G tank. I went to lowes to get some glass cut, but they only have 1/8" thick glass. I wanted to use 1/4" thick glass for the baffles and compartments. Does anyone know where can I get glass cut in Atlanta... hopefully it won't be too expensive.
Thanks,
James S.

i used pieces of acrylic in my 40 gal breeder sump.used sylicone to hold them in place, with no issues.everything is holding ok.just a thought for you to consider. and i really dont see why 1/8 inch glass wouldnt suffice for baffles?

Look in the yellow pages under glass. Nearly any place that has a physical location will have 1/4" glass in stock. It is very cheap. I converted a 25g tank into a sump and had 2 pieces of 1/4" glass cut (approx. 12" x "16") and it was only about $6 each.

my 75g is 1/4" glass, and its 20" deep.
a 29g baffle would be fine with 1/8". could do acrylic too.
