Where does the Vertex Illuminas rank amongst your LED offerings. Based on price I would presume at the top, but have you field tested them yet?

They are built better than anything else on the market and the light output exceeds every other strip light we carry. Nothing even comes close to it it terms of build quality or PAR. Personally I have a hard time calling this a strip light. If you can come up with a better name then let us know.

Thanks,

Sorry, I know I posted under the Illumilux, but I was asking about the Illumina. But I'll assume that they would get the same sort of approval.

Yes, awsome fixtures. I have one here in my office. If your tank is less than 27-28 inches deep then go with the 200 series, unless you just want to spend more money and dial the power back and use the 260 series. I'm using the 200 series and running the whites at 40% power during it's peak (midday) and the blues at 80% on a 20" deep aquarium.

I'm having a 120g built at 48X24X24. What would you recommend then? I haven't determined yet, what sort of livestock will be in there as far as corals, but don't want to be limited by my light fixture. Thanks.

You can go with the 3' SR200. The 3' unit will give you full coverage but you can still get a 4' if you would have a 4' unit. The spead on a 3' Illumina is good enough to give full coverage on a 4' x 2' x 2' aquarium.

Edit: sorry for the typo...I meant "spread".

Ok, thanks for the input. I won't be in the market for one until the new year probably, but hopefully by then they will be 20% off as well. :)

Don't count on it. I seriously doubt they will go on sale. They can't hardly keep up with demand.
