I'm a student of the game of baseball, I follow it religiously. My dog, Kimbrel, is named after the Braves rookie (he was born the day Kimbrel made his first spring training appearance. I'm also pretty big in to cars, DIY, gadgets, video games, movies, reading, and fantasy leagues (football, baseball)

Haha! I like guns but really need an upgrade for my carry weapon. I have too many expensive hobbies. We live traveling with our kids. I have a Meade ETX-125 telescope that we love. Used to play on the PS3. But that's kind of go e by the wayside with the tank. We also love our Jack Russell terrorists. I'd love either a project car or nicer kit car to work on but don't have the time, money, or space. Our favorite hobby is SCUBA diving!

What do u carry? I just got a model 23 40 Cal glock yesterday I've been wanting one forever. Going to probate court tomorrow to apply for my carry permit. I just hope its been long enough since my DUI to get it. I think it has to be 5 years. It has been 5 since charged but not 5 since I was convicted. So I guess ill see. Gonna hate to pay the 70 bucks just to get denied.

Ruger SR-9. Nice thing with it is that between what's in the gun and the two magazines I carry I have 52 rounds on me! But I really want a 1911.

The Ruger is ok but not as accurate as I'd like.

Does working for the Dept of Corrections not entitle you to the same rights as a police officer in regards to carrying? Just curious as I don't really know.

SR20 is out of a 240sx, also a inline four cylinder, RB20 is out of a nissan skyline and is six cylinder. My RB20DET with 18psi of boost produces 400rwhp on the stock internals.

No it does not. When I worked for the GA dept of corrections and was a correctional officer at the prison we were POST certified on certain firearms. No firearms are allowed in the prison so the only time we had one was if we were escorting an inmate to the hospital or working in a tower. The POST certification did not give us permission to carry a weapon off duty. We didn't have any arrest powers either. As far as the Clayton County Sheriffs office I'm still in the training process and will be firearms certified when done but same as working for the state... If you aren't an actual peace officer and issued a service weapon that u keep/take home, you're just a regular Joe as far as gun laws go.

IMO the RB series engines are the best engines Nissan has ever produced. Way better then any other series they have ever made. The VG is good but lacks torque and has oil issues. Don't even get me started on the SR's....those things are junk. You have to drop a lot of money in them to make them worth anything then they crap out a lot and for various reasons. I hope to find a RB26DETT to drop into the 240z someday...

If I were you I would be dropping a 2JZ in.. The RB is a great engine, don't get me wrong... but you can't beat this..

Sorry but I am a die hard Nissan fan, no other brand engine will ever go in my Z. Even when I did my V8 swap into my 300zx z32 I did the Q45 engine into it. Even though it came out of an Infiniti, the engine was designed and produced by Nissan. I think the RB26DETT is just as good as the 2JZ. Really they are about the same engine, one is from Nissan and one is from Toyota.

Photography is one of my hobbies that have sort of taken a back seat to my tank, although they go hand in hand.

Since I moved here I have taken an interest in guns. I only have one, Bersa .40. But I do enjoy shooting it.

I also enjoy geocaching when I can find the time (ID, winniethepooh&tiger2).

I have had many other hobbies in the past but have found to enjoy my tank most.

Brewing beer is my biggest hobby at the moment. Got 45 gallons this year, 15 in the last six weeks. A buddy and I split the batches, then I end up giving half of mine away, so it really doesn't amount to that much. We make five gallons at a time, which gets about 50 bottles. Our next batch will be an Chocolate Milk Stout. It'll be a good fire-side desert beer.

I also love astronomy, camping, and target shooting, although I don't have much time for those.

Yeah, I lumped camping in with traveling. We used to tent camp but gave up and bought a pop-up. Allows more comfort throughout the year! We love it though and wish we could spend more time camping.

Mcmyeye, my wife is certified too and our 9yo daughter can't wait to get certified. I'm sure our son will join the party someday as well which should allow for a few years of great family vacations.

i am very excited to have to do a beach vacation every year now. my wife and i just dove together in Panama City last month. all 3 of us are going to manatee springs in november for a family vacation and dive trip.

kids can be different, our oldest child has zero interest in diving. he swam competativly for 7 years with USA swimming and lettered on his high schoold team will not try SCUBA. our daughter who also swims for the high scholl and USA swiming could not wait to strap a tank on and get wet.

My wife and I started Trap Shooting just over 2 years ago. Super fun. In our first competitive shoot (South Carolina State Shoot), my wife got runner up in the ladies division, shooting 97/100 targets.

With the shooting has come the related activities that are almost as fun as shooting (kind of like the thrill of setting up a new tank, etc.) - reloading, Italian shotguns (Perazzi, in particular).

Here are few photos:

My first trap gun. Browning Cynergy 34". Quickly outgrew it as you can really tell the difference in a Perazzi. Kind of like starting with a 72G bowfront, then realizing you want the 210G. :D

I do too but not by choice. LOL Actually the koi haven't bred but the pond commits have gone crazy. I put a pond in as a birthday present for my wife several years ago, then another one with water fall. We picked up two tiny Koi and threw in but didn't expect them to live. 5 years later, they are about 14' long. A freind brought us 3 pond comits which have not turned into 13. Want some?????? LOL
