I've sex'd alot of things but never a bengaii! Having said that I'm in, momma always said you've got to try everything once lol

FWIW

It is possible to sex them but takes alot of time staring at the fish in the store. The males have a rounder jaw as percieved from the side- from the bottom of their mouth to the bottom of the chin, they also tend to have a longer caudal fin(the second from the head). The third deciding factor is to watch behavior in the tank the males tend to stake out a territory and chase other fish from it(more than the females). IME it always seems the females way outnumber the males. The final test which takes a bit more time is wait until you have one grown up, put another one in. If he chases the new one around.. then... take it out and exchange it.

Edit: Jesse, great find. I must have fell asleep when I typed up the price. My pain is your gain. I have 3 available. :)

That is one heck of a price!

Unfortunatly I'm out of town until Saturday, I'm sure they will be gone by then =) I'm sure I'll find something else thou, I always do!

Jesse, you found it so it's yours if you tell me so. You been good with me. I have no problem holding them for you. LMK if you want all 3.

Edit: Mike, I ordered large females therefore I didn't ordered any male. With that said, I think the lyretail trio might be sold. I'll let you know if things changed. Will have more soon.

I really appreciate the offer! Not sure I'm ready for them yet, I set up the tank they are going in last week. Albeit it was all existing rock and new live sand but I've been in Dallas all week and haven't tested it since I've left. I'm sure it would be fine but don't want to ask you to hold something for me them have to cancel do to parameters out of wack when I get home.
