Well I'm headed to Imagine tomorrow at some point and would love to ge a tour if your in the area. I could bring you a couple frags from my tank. I'm really working on getting some zoos to take hold right now. Jen really has helped me get a couple frags of different zoos going and before long I think I can really share some cool stuff with people.

it's a Acropora Granulos 90% sure; need to see how it grows out and the polyp colors. Looks like the polyps are white, and if it is then the name if gave you is almost certainly correct.

If not then it could be a valida with thin branches like the one i got here (maybe??).

It looks like the purple monster honestly.

Mine looks a bit like a purple monsters or purple unknown. I've been selling mine as a acropora valida, but after i read some books it does not look like a valida at all. More like a purple unknown from what i've seen.

The condition is that it needs alot of light for it to turn purple, if not then it turns brow at the base and very purple tips. The thing had been on subtrate and 250w light until it came into my tank.

We really don't know what it is until it shown how it's coralites is going to grown. Purple monster have stubby features and grow relatively slow compared to other acroporas. If its white polyps then i'm extremely sure it is Granulos.

Some people call this purple monster or purple unknown. Look just like the pic above.

Don't know you Todd, but would love to come by and check the tank out. I can bring along a piece of my tri-color acro if you are interested (blue, green and purple). I have resisted giving it out as it grows very slowly, but I need to get it out to people in case something happens to my tank. I just got it big enough to knock some pieces off and after seeing your growth seems like a good tank to donate to. Let me know.

It has whit polyps on it.....It is growing FATTER though cause I have 2 Tunze 6100's blowing the hell out of it...no chance to grow UP..
