I've been working on placing several members as moderators and getting Board approval. We have a few in place and a couple more that we will be adding in the near future. The newly appointed moderators will likely be using specific accounts designed to keep their identities private.
I will continue my term carrying out my duties as President but am voluntarily removing myself from the forums.
As always, thanks for your support.

I'm glad to see that the anon mod suggestion is going to be put in effect. I don't think however its necessary for you to remove yourself from the forums ... unless you're one of the anon mods :).

Tony... drink a beer... chill... come back... we don't want to lose our leader on the forums over a bunch of retarded crap. I know it can suck being honcho because everybody ends up taking there crap to you, but the last thing I want is to run off somebody who is funny and a good contributor. I am sure it is hard to split the presidential duties with the personal stuff, but I personally view you as a fellow reefer first.

seriously there is no need for you to leave the forum that is ridiculous...also i think you should let the mods be shown no need to have them anonymous people should respect the mods and the forum no matter what everyone here "should be" adults

I think the list of Mods should be made public but that a Mod account should be used when something needs to be removed or taken care of. That way, people know who the mods are but maybe not which mod is taking care of which issue so people do not feel it is a personal thing, it is coming from the Mods as a group.

It is sad that it has to be that way and maybe it doesn't... We are all adults here and I doubt anyone would abuse the power as mod or go on a "power trip". I think the issue is that some people are really sensitive and might feel like a mod is personally attacking them. Look at the silly posts that are made and how wrong people take them sometimes.

I doubt that a Mod is going to need to step in to very many issues. I do not see too much get heated to the point that a thread has to be closed. I think a Mod should let most things work themselves out and step in behind the sceens.

I am sorry that Tony and Chris have had to bear the brunt of issues lately. This place and hobby is suppost to be fun for EVERYONE, including Tony and Chris. If a Mod system will free up time and take stress off Tony and Chris, I am all for it.

I don't think Tony is going to LEAVE the forums, he just needs a break from moderating it.

As far as Anonymous moderators. I agree with Brandon, the list of moderators can be kept public, but all transactions can be dealt with anonymously

However as someone who has moderated some very large forums, it is probably worth it not to have people PMing the crap out of you. You would be suprised how pissed some people can get when you shut down one of their posts.

I understand what you are saying Cameron but I really feel like our group of people would be respectful. I was an admin on www.freeipodguide.com (http://www.freeipodguide.com) for a couple years over 10K members and those group of guys were tough to moderate because the age range was from 12-60 years old mainly all within 15-25 range but I never really had an PM's that were to bad but people did get upset at me at times. Just my 2cents
