Hello all :D
I am getting back into reef keeping after a 7 year hiatus.
I sold my 90g before I moved to Georgia from Orlando and finally have time to get back in.
I am setting up a 210 AGA.
I need to drill the back of my tank for a closed loop. Can someone tell me a good, and reasonably priced, place to get this done?
I need two 1.5" holes and two 1.75" holes drilled.
I could do it myself if I had the diamond hole saws, so, if anyone is near Ballground and has the bits and is willing to help me out I would appreciate it.
It's the last thing keeping me from filling this monster.

Thanks for looking.

Hi Ray/Craz4life!

I believe that the nearest place to you that drills tanks is Aquarium Showcase in Alpharetta about 1/2 mile north of Windward Parkway GA (GA 400 Exit 11) and Hwy 9.

They're near the top of our sponsor page which provides their phone # and a yahoo map: http://www.atlantareefclub.org/index.php?option=content&task=section&id=7&Itemid=32

BTW, it's nice to see another Cherokee Country resident getting into the hobby. I'm down in the Hickory Flat area.

Is the CBA referred to in that link, Capuchino Bay, down in Marietta?
I've done the dremmel bit hole cutting before. It takes forever, and the glass on this tank is about a 1/2" thick. I was hoping someone local had the diamond hole saws I could borrow. Schlepping the tank to the fish store will be a b**ch. It weights about 300lbs.

I used to live down there. Right across the street from Cagle Dairy in Carrington Farms subdividion. It was the country when I moved there. Got too crowded so I moved further North and built a house on 4 acres in Ball Ground.

How about Canton glass right there on 140 just west of 575. Do they drill tanks?

Regarding Canton Galss, I know the place you're referring to (on Hwy 140 just off of I-575 next to Chandler Graphics).

I don't know if they drill tanks or not. I've only used them to cut small pieces of plate glass to sit on top of my refugium so that I could sit a light over it.

You might want to call Imagine Ocean 770.720.0103 on Hwy 140 and ask Jenn (the owner) who could do it locally if Canton Glass doesn't.

It's called "Q Fish School", but I don't believe that they drill tanks.

Chris, the owner, is a nice guy with decent experience too. The store opened in OCt '04. He's converted the store to be alomost exclusively marine. However, it's a smaller store tha Imagine Ocean and has only one or two 20G tanks of corals.

Directions to Q Fish School:
* Go north on I-575 to Cherokee County and take the Town Lake Parkway exit.
* Make left at bottom of exit ramp (heading West)
* Go straight 2-3 miles and go past a Raceway gas station on the right
* Then go ~1 mile and turn left at the traffic light where there is also a Wachovia Branch.
* Then make your first right adjacent to the Wachovia Branch and follow the road into the shopping center.
* Q Fish School is in the SE corner of the shopping center

I'm sorry that I can't give you an exact address right now.

thanks bob. that should be enough info. I knew it was to the left when exiting but all I found was a pet store in the publix plaza on the right. I wasnt familier with the other batch of stores a little further down. I will probably stop by there today.
