I have 2 questions.

1) Lighting - Can I use a 36" light with metal Halid on a 55 gallon 48" tank or would I be better getting a 48" vho lighting system? The 2 systems I am looking at are the Coralife Aqualight Pro HQI 36" and the 48" Lunar Aqulight 260. I just read the other forum question about lighting but didn't feel that it answered this question.

2) Are there any corals that can co-exist with a bi-color angle, and coral beauty angle?

Tank Specs,
55 gallon
65 pounds live rock
2 power heads
1 HOB Fileter
50 pound live sand crushed coral combination
CPR backpack skimmer
2 false percs
1 bi-color angle
1 coral beauty angle

If the metal halide fixture has two bulbs of at least 175 watt [prefer 250w] then it would work over the 48" tank. You usually can place low light corals lower down or in corners.

Both of those dwarf angels are listed as possibly reef safe. I would watch them to be sure. Start out with some sturdy leathers or mushrooms and see if they turn into dinner. With your lighting choices (I am speaking MH), I think you would do fine with almost any coral, but your best bet would be to buy some inexpensive frags from one of the other reefers before I would put a lot of money in a huge mother colony only to find them on the angel's menu. Of course any well fed fish tends to not go looking for other food choices.
