This is the fish that got my interested in this hobby. I've read the thread on RC in and out twice. Pure Reef had three beautiful ones in all eating pellets and frozen foods. He will blow the food off the sand bed and eat it. I'm sorry for the crappy video I was still shaking. This was a birthday present that was LONG over due.:D
EDIT: No idea why I have two videos posted.
No video posted... there's "screen" but no vid.

Jorge is a stand up guy with an amazing store. I wish him nothing but the best of luck. I was up there last weekend and had to do what you said. My girlfriend wanted him more than I did. Went back yesterday with Rostato, it was my birthday and I couldn't walk out twice. Jorge was more than willing to feed them again. I knew they were eating from my last trip to the store.:lol2:I will get a better video tonight!!!!

EDIT: And that really means a lot coming from somebody with so many awsome fish.

I have two. One that will feed two types of feed, and one that has a drum that turns.

I have this one as well. It's got two different chambers for holding food and each can be set up to feed three times a day. I've fed pellets, flake, and freeze dried mysis and they all work well. Personally, I have each chamber filled with the same food type and have it set to feed six times a day just a little bit. I definitely recommend this to anyone who has fish that should be fed several times a day and can't do it personally.
And very nice fish! I am jealous.

Thank you Brett! Now to find a 180g.:D
twocute2b4u 07-20-2010, 12:10 PM that is one outstanding fish!! Nice purchase. I've seen them at Jorge's for several weeks now, so I am sure it is in good health. In addition Jorge, Angela and the crew at Pure Reef rock.
When you go to Pure Reef again pick up one of my business cards that are on their counter. If you know of anyone needing pet care or pet sitting my business card has all of my information on it. :-)
Keep us posted on the progress of the fish.

Smoothie pointed me in this direction. I seen a lot of people talking about it on the Primer thread on RC so I took his advice. *cross fingers* He's still eating pellets. (not as many as I would like, but he is still eating, thank God.) Hopefully he will get a taste for this being it's got sponge blended into it.

I think they have that at Marine Designs.

Thanks for the heads up. But, after gas and all the added expenses, I would still be in the same price range. Next time I am in that area I will be stocking up though.
What all are you feeding your angels?
jmaneyapanda 07-22-2010, 12:52 PM a million different things, including that. They dont eat it. Its got little bloodworm looking bits in it, and nothing eats them. Except maybe the bristleworms. I wont buy it again.
jmaneyapanda 07-22-2010, 12:53 PM Wait, Im mistaken I think. I think Im thinking of Hikari Angel forumla. The ON cubes, I do feed from a big 2 pound multipack. So I feed realistically all types of ON formula cubes.

Smoothie 07-23-2010, 12:50 AM I have been using it for awhile and just learned you can wet one side of it and the cube will stick to the glass. Jeremy is right. Mine did not like the hikari either

I rotate rocks out of my sump, so my angels can eat natural sponges
Smoothie 07-23-2010, 1:02 AM A cryptic fuge could also come into play when needing sponges. Meh just a thought to throw out there. The gel based have worked well with the powder blue and flame angel though. Haven't tried an idol yet. Still debating on whether to add one of those guys or a bluethroat with the upgrade

Here is a good video of him at dinner time. I am feeding twice-three times a day on average to try and fatten him up. His little belly is starting to get bigger so hopefully he will look like one of Jeremey's overweight tangs/angels. haha
