I have a Typhoon iii RO/DI unit. I guess I have made at least 80 gallons of water and all looked well. Last night I filled two containers and both have a blue, plastic feeling sediment. TDS meter shows the water is "pure" but I don't know what the sediment is...

1. Can I still use the water if filter out the particulate?
2. Where is it coming from?

Is it black? Could be carbon.

No it is a bright blue. Almost the same color as the web header color in this forum. It is about the size of sand grains. If I filter it out, I guess in a 5 gallon container of water I would get about a tablespoon full of blue stuff.

is it in the container? before you add the water maybe? wash out your containers better.

looks like my color changing filter is defunct. The seal broke and all the crystals are coming out.
