Do they have a test kit that comes with everything? or do I have to buy them all separate?
also what's the most reliable kit?

I haven't found a single kit that does "everything". That being said, some are sold as package deals that have several basics and then you can purchase the additional tests that you need.

When I was doing my research, the one brand that no matter what board or area I was on that seemed to rank #1 was Salifert. I deferred to a close second and ended up going with SeaChem as they seemed to be nearly as reliable and also a pretty significant amount cheaper.

It seems to me that no matter what brand you use, as long as you use a non-expired test kit, for the most part, they're all reliable - it's more about ease of being able to interpret the readings.

I'd have to disagree here. I've had bad experiences with API. Although some people say they work, I've bought a few different kits thinking the one I had was a dud. I've never seen nitrates or phosphates register on these kits.

Although API is good for a couple of tests (and not so good on others), ELOS would be what you are looking for!

I use API and agree some readings just do not make sense but i dont want to debate anything here.........test kit police go away

I have a couple of Seachem kits and like the ease of use....Im looking for a better test kit for magnesium
