I have seen one other reef club do this and charge a couple of bucks for the app. I did not buy it, so I have no idea how it looks....

I thought it may be worth considering, although not cost effective on the development side if folks won't download it.

Just a few thoughts on an ARC application....

Not only access to the forums in mobile friendly interface, but the following possibilities:

1 - Sponsor push notifications for special sale items and discounts
2 - Interactive sponsor map that ties into your mobile GPS and shows you nearest LFS sponsor stores and gives you directions.
3 - Chat interface for members

4 - Mobile Video uploads.....take video on your phone and post with ease

Funny thing is that today, with the increase in bandwidth, most mobile users are asking to use the full interface rather then the dumb-down mobile version.
You can use the existing chat with a mobile phone using the full interface.
I do like the GPS map though. I'm going to look around see if something like that exists.

Look at tapatalk it is an iPhone/droid/bb app that does some cool stuff.

Seems pretty awesome I've got the storm and its not the same trying to use my full browser to access the site as it is on my PC.The chat didn't work either.Great suggestions though J video upload would be great as well as an intergrated GPS system.They just need a program to find LFS in any state in general ANY time I drive anywhere for a trip out of state or in I'm always trying to find a salt shop just to pop my head into and spend some money.Most stuff travels well!LOL!

one thing i found out i cant do while browsing the site on my phone is deleting PM's. Once my PM limit is reached, theres nothing I can do on my phone to delete old PMs or send new ones. Not sure if I'm just not looking in the right spot to do this?

Like for facebook, I prefer to use the app on my ipod touch rather than surf the site, i find it confusing... and thats from a computer guy who does nothing BUT surf the web lol
