Until last week, I was using a Canon point and shoot digital (I forget the model). Well the screen died when I was ready to start documenting my tank progress.
Unbelievably, my wife supported my wild idea to by a used digital SLR. I ended up finding one on eBay, a Canon Rebel EOS. It's the 6.3mp one, I guess the original model from around 2003/4. My coworker used that one for a while and said I would be quite happy with it.
It comes with the stock lens, an external flash and a tripod. But not too much else. I have a 2gb card that will work in it so I should be good to do some basics.
It arrived today, so I'll be excited to give it a try.
So are there any suggestions for a newbie photographer/reefer? Anyone familiar with this particular camera and can give me some advise on what settings I should use? I have a feeling there are some accomplished photographers amonth the group.
Thanks in Avance.
